NATURAL FABRICS: ESCALES garments are created with fibres from natural origins and sustainable fabrics to minimize the environmental impact.
.

.
- LINEN: It is the most biodegradable fabric in fashion history, it is made from flax and it is the world’s strongest natural fiber. Linen has the natural ability to prevent bacterial growth and is also a fabric that people with allergies can wear easily, since it is proper to soothe skin conditions. The Advisory Commission Report to the European Parliament stated that flax cultivation has positive effects on eco-system diversity. Linen is a fast-growing plant that annually is born in warm zones: northern France, Picardy, Normandy, Bretagne and Anjou.
- COTTON: It is a natural cellulosic fiber made from the Cotton boll and it is the most used fabric in clothing since the Ancient Egypt. Its main qualities are durability, versatility, softness and lightness and that is why most textile producers use it. In addition, it is a sustainable and biodegradable fabric, as well as renewable, making it an excellent option that reduces the environmental impact.
- ALPACA: A natural luxury wool originally from Peru that has become the world’s most popular sustainable fiber. It is known for its warmth, durability and lightness and also because it is hypoallergenic (as it doesn’t contain any oil or lanolin) and biodegradable. The Alpaca knitting process merges artisan handcrafted work with modern technology and animals are not damaged during the production process.

- CASHMERE: This luxury wool fiber becomes a long-lasting fabric known for its softness and warmth. It is biodegradable and it can be recycled to reduce the environmental change. The Cashmere industry is in constant renovation to protect its sources and be more transparent in the production process.
- TENCEL® LYOCELL: This sustainable synthetic fabric comes from Eucalyptus, a fast-growing tree that is born on low-grade land. Its qualities are similar to Cotton’s, but TENCEL® Lyocell fibres are certified as compostable and biodegradable by the European ecolabel Oeko Tex 100 as it contains low levels of chemicals. All garments made in this sustainable fabric are fresh and comfortable and also avoid the negative environmental impacts of a traditional fiber processing, using new sustainable technologies.
